COMMUNITY MEETINGS to speak out about the proposed Expansion of
US ECOLOGY

US ECOLOGY is located about 1 mile from Hamtramck,  right in the middle of a Detroit neighborhood.  U.S. Ecology uses water to process hazardous waste toxins, and then dumps the used water right back into our wastewater system to eventually end up in our drinking water.  Despite many wastewater violations, the facility is seeing expansion through the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.  The Coalition to Stop the Expansion of U.S. Ecology builds community awareness and is conducting a health assessment of residents near the facility.  HCI is a Coalition partner in the effort to STOP THE EXPANSION of US ECOLOGY.

ANGEL'S NIGHT 2019

Residents are invited to patrol during the Halloween Holiday to keep Hamtramck safe and arson free.  Meet between 5 and 9 PM at People's Community Services, 8625 Joseph Campau to register with the HPD and pick up your route.  Bring your car and your current driver's license.  No car?  Come and sign up to ride-along with another patroller.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out on 10-5-17  to discuss this important topic.
